I don’t know why I hadn’t thought about it before, but of course I could just take my music collection (audio files) and use the build in Gnome Music app.

On a funny side note: I couldn’t find a place in the guide, saying how to import your Music. Seems like it was expected to be common knowledge. It wasn’t for me at first, but then I thought of just placing the files in the system music folder and there it was.

Hej people. Have you heard of #Linux?🐧 So we're getting a new old laptop & consider switching from win10.

What distribution etc. would you recommend to people -not complete idiots- who enjoy using it, not making it.

What we do / like / want:

- Browser (just firefox?)
- Freecad / Audacity just work?
- Word / spreadsheet: recommendations?
- Photoshop 5.5 (yes) replacement?
- Easy local network access / file browsing / basic photo management
- Vocaster Two software?

My ideal is a modern winXP..

Ok #LinuxAudio (or #Linux) people: We're at it again, I really want a solution for Paul Stretch in Bitwig, and PaulXStretch seem to be the option.

I will need to build it, and I haven't done this before.

Could you, who have the experience, take a look at this, and see if I should just go for it?

So I tried Zen-browser again, because I really like the way it helps focus the attention on the current tab, by removing everything above the current website. But I simply get too many CPU spikes, and don't know why.

So now I'm back at Brave, which I'd rather be without.

In brave I can have tabs on the left, only showing Icons, but the names of the tabs pops up when I put my mouse over the icons.

Where can I get a secure AI free browser with the same look?
