Ok #LinuxAudio (or #Linux) people: We're at it again, I really want a solution for Paul Stretch in Bitwig, and PaulXStretch seem to be the option.
I will need to build it, and I haven't done this before.
Could you, who have the experience, take a look at this, and see if I should just go for it?

@mosgaard Building this does not seem too difficult. If you're on Arch, there's even an AUR for it.
Which distro are you on?
@trancefish I’m on CachyOS, so tried to build it from the AUR but the package is broken. I just followed the build guide on the website, and it worked really well. Som I’m a happy PoulStretcher once again.
Thanks to @harald and the build guide from Sonosaurus (and the Fish Shell for reminding me to sudo the install script), I'm up and running with the magical Paul Stretch algorithm, yeehaa!
Can't wait to stretch those tiny bits of tonal material from found sounds into dreamy synths (with the help of hard EQ and saturation for harmonics)
@mosgaard You can do it! all of the dependencies look like normal libraries you'll have in your package manager. the debian script it mentions should work on any APT based distro like Ubunto and so on. So if it all works as planned you'd run about 3 commands in the terminal and have it installed.

@shoshin thanks a lot, I got it to work, and you were right. 3 commands, as in the build guide.
I did run PARU from the AUR (where it turned out to be already), but got an error. I think this took care of 2-3 missing dependencies, and after that I just followed the guide on Github.
@ Morten Mosgaard Does not seem too complicated really. Just make sure you have the required packages installed (note that they may have slightly different names on your distro, and that some distros don't split things into separate dev packages.)
If you're on an arch based distro you should be able to install it from the AUR, which will take care of building it for you.
Don't know about other distros.
